At 45° 38.2 N 13° 05.9 E located between the golden sand beach, cobalt sea and emerald stone pine forest you will find a lighthouse and a small white house behind.
Such is the precious lighthouse in Bibione built at the beginning of the 20th century at the mouth of the River Tagliamento and surrounded with a beautiful stone pine forest.
The natural environment is characterized by many different natural forms and diversified vegetation: coastal vegetation with a stone pine forest, marshy meadows, steppe vegetation, all in the setting of dunes and sea depressions.

Local flora and fauna determined by geographical location and warm Mediterranean, central European and Balkan climate can really take you by surprise.
This mixed climate has provided favourable conditions for many rare species of plants, especially flowers, such as Apocino veneziano, Salice rosmarinifoglia, different kinds of wild orchids and other rare species of vegetation threatened with extinction.
Here you can find, among others, Austrian pine, an evident example of previous climatic characteristics.

In Bibione you can also find interesting examples of fauna representatives. The region is inhabited by some extremely rare species such as Hermann’s Tortoise. The whole lagoon di Caorle is located on the migratory routes of waterfowl travelling during spring and autumn. The rich natural environment of the mouth of the River Tagliamento is highly appreciated by both Italian and foreign tourists. The region has been unanimously recognised for its natural beauty and designated as a nature monument.
