In Bibione you can find interesting examples of fauna representatives. The region is inhabited by some extremely rare species such as Hermann’s Tortoise. Bibione, as the whole lagoon di Caorle, is located on the migratory routes of waterfowl travelling in spring and autumn.

If you are a careful and patient observer you will have a chance to see such birds as kingfisher, swallow, barn swallow, cuckoo, quail or turtle dove.

Diversified flora includes such species as coot, mud turtle, mud falcon and water vole. When taking about numerous species of fish and reptiles, one cannot omit water-holding frog and European toad.

The rich natural environment of the mouth of the River Tagliamento is highly appreciated by both Italian and foreign tourists. The region has been unanimously recognised for its natural beauty and designated as a nature monument.
