When you see Bibione for the first time what strikes your eyes most is vegetation with different shades of green that form a characteristic picture.
Geological movements have led to forming fertile plateaus such as Vallesina, Val Grande and the mouth of the River Tagliamento.
Thanks to such a diversified structure, the green Town of Bibione can boast other gifts of nature, even more curious, such as Mediterranean macchia that has survived and thrived thanks to extremely favorable micro climatic conditions. Most representative examples of this kind of vegetation include such species of trees as Austrian pine, European black hornbeam and evergreen oak and such species of bushes as holly ruscolo, laurel and filliree whose fruits provide food for birds and small rodents.
This dazzling greenery contrasts with diversity of flowers. In places rarely visited by people beautiful flowers are in bloom throughout the whole summer. Under trees you can easily notice delicate lily carniolico and elegant golden lily, gentian and primrose whose unique fragrance heralds spring in Bibione.
